Looking Glass
Welcome to the looking glass experience. This is a biology tool commonly known as a ‘hand lens’. It is a 10 times mini magnifying glass with a quality glass lens, leather protective pouch and hand plaited kangaroo leather lanyard (made by me!).
It is my belief that this looking glass has the ability to change your life. This is not just another consumer object to buy but a tool that can be an aid in shifting and changing your perspective and focus in life. This looking glass bids you entry into the wonderful world of the micro cosom. Through gazing at the infinitely intricate qualities of everything around you it is possible to begin to open the doors of your perception more fully and bask in awe and wonder and total mind blowing amazement at all that there is to be seen and felt.
For me this looking glass has had a great impact on cultivating my awareness and presence within each moment. It is a wonderful tool for countering the modern collective belief of human separateness. Through gazing at plants, insects, bark, sand, spider webs, cut up fruit and vegetables, my own finger nails- basically anything I can get my hands on!- I have come to have an embodied experience of the infinitely connected nature of life. This helps me navigate anxieties and uncertainties in my daily mind.
I can not recommend this more highly as a tool for expanding your awe and connection to the world. Almost everyone who comes into contact with the Looking Glass is on their hands and knees within minutes gazing at lichen, moss and whatever they can find. It becomes hard to leave the house without the Looking Glass in hand.
I will be running community workshops this year where a small group will come together to gaze and play with the aid of the looking glasses and connect more deeply into the world and with each other. If you are interested in hearing more please add yourself to my mailing list.
